Well I would understand if some of you have given me up for the blog cemetery....BUT WAIT! I am here. Just found myself buried in my mummy taxi run and a seriously sad baby boy who was cutting anew tooth. Yup....Joel now has 5 teeth.....2 bottom and 3 top. And let me tell you this last week....argh. This little tooth has given him the worst time, but anyhow....he is back to fighting fit and napping twice a day and so I am finally getting something done. The mending pile was dealt to Sunday, the ironing pile was dealt to yesterday and the washing is up to date! Phew.....hate this house when things get let go!
In other news......old but new....this is the project I completed for the March article for Shop & Crop. It was a nice and easy frame for any occasion.
Huge congrats to my friend Trina. Sorry this is late but wow....Junkitz DT! You go girl. Visit Trina here and see how much talent this girl has, not to mention the great shot of the big bang in Auckland last weekend. Well done.
I am finally off to the local scrapbook store tomorrow night for my first class for 2007.....actually for a long while, and I am really looking forward to it. I have had such a busy time over the last 4 mths that it will be nice to get out of the house and into the class again...I do love it. BEST OF ALL.....I get to finally meet Hera Frei....yup....she is coming to do one of my classes! WAHOO! She is the sweetest chic and has been very cool to chat too. But we have never met in person. YAY!
Not alot else to report on the scrapping front. I actually feel like I have stepped too far back IYKWIM. I am kinda experiencing some almost withdrawals...lol
In family news
Nikita and Liam had their school cross country last week and both did very well....Nikita placed 7th overall and Liam was just happy he got to run like the wind. That boy really is like a gazelle....his body doesn't seem to have caught up to his legs..lol
Kaitlyn *or Kate as she likes to be known...he he teens* has had the most amazing few weeks at her new school. She has made the south island champs for Touch and has for the last 2 weeks been in the busy of a grueling trial process with the hopes of making the Nayland college 1st 11 Soccer side. Nayland always put together a great girls side and so it was her hope to make it. They trialled for 2 hours on Tues 27th Feb and then again a week later, where they short listed 21 girls....TODAY IS THE BIG DAY! Today they will select from that 21, based on performance, the girls to make the 16 girls squad...argh....I am nervous. But you know what she has a dream and she has worked hard. *the waiting will kill me*
On top of this they train twice a week at the moment building up to the big trip south on the 23rd, and she also ran the 200m and the relay at Athletics the other day and automatically placed in the Nayland side to travel to Blenheim for the inter schools......with legs like that who could run aye! We are very proud of her. She has also worked all summer long to save for her own laptop. I thought it was a big ask, but she set her mind to it and whammo....she has $887 to date.....only needs $999. What an achievement!
ok....I won't go on and on. My man is fab....I am recovering and getting some sleep and all is well with the world....TILL THE NEXT TOOTH! Will post some pics later. Oh....thought I would share the pic on my phone of me and my baby girl....lol....who turns 15 soon....argh
ok...sorry I have been so scarce. Stop by and say hi ok....I miss you all!
Hugs
