{bathing babies ooooze cuteness}

Img_0039a Yup it is true. Even the hardest of hearts couldn't possible resist a chubby boy bathing. They are just so funny! I mean check out these pics....oh and if someone from  Johnson & Johnson's is Img_0027aImg_0026

watching....YES WE WILL DO IT! That ad campaign has Joel's name all over it!

Ain't he the cutest! I actually upset Liam in the process cause he was showering while Joel was bathing and I turned the camera and started to snap some of him through the  glass doors....lets just say he was not impressed. He quickly made me promise that I would send them to anyone, while Nikita was in the background shouting "make her promise she won't put them o the blog Liam!"...nice....thanks Nikita.

All is well in the Willis house. Joel is a day closer to the canines. I can actually see the little white points on the top gum so hopefully they will come down fast! Ears were checked again yesterday and actually the Dr said they are the best she has seen them still.....that is like 3 weeks now....wowser! We are thrilled. Now if the teeth come we might get a full nights sleep!

Tomorrow is going to be cool. Joel is off for his first visit to 'Grannies' a very special little creche. I can't wait to see the look on his face!

Had a blast at the LSS this last weekend when I got to go and help and play and meet the lovely Fiona. She is a doll and is a wizz at demoĆng (word?) the Cricut, Cuttlebug and the new Expressions machine. I actually like the expressions machine. I would have one for sure. The 12 x 12 thing sold me and the fact that they will soon have a USB cable for the computer makes the possibilities endless.....that and the fact that they can cut thicker card. Not quite chipboard as it is too dense but heavy card...how cool. I would never have to hand cut a title or vellum swirls ever again....I love that idea. Anyhow...what is your thoughts? Let me know if you have one and what you think about their versatility.

ok....enough from me. Off to get some clothes out for the little man and me and then rug up for some 'Outrageous Fortune' GOTTA LOVE TUESDAY!

Hugs

{the end of an era}

Things change. The only constant is change....but those that know me know I like the constant. I lie knowing wehat is there now and what is coming...it is the compulsive organiser in me. But sadly this last week brought change. I have now resigned my duties from Shop & Crop, and it brings a fabulous 2 years with Sasha to an end. I lessoned the workload somewhat in Jan but it just wasn't enough. I have found less and less time on the computer (as you blog followers know...opps) and more time teaching classes and arranging all the kids stuff. With 3 playing footy and one dancing and the other just generally taking allot of time, it just wasn't enough to go around. I have loved my time there. It is the most amazing place and I wish in the last few months I could have given it the attention it deserves, but alas.....CHANGE! Time changes. The amount of time changes....everything changes. Thanks to those that have been a great support of my S & C work. I will certainly not be disappearing from there. I will continue to pop in and complete the BOL, and watch as this team goes from strength to strength.

BIG MWAH TO ALL OF YOU!

In other things Willis....the weekend brought Liams soccer, Craigs second to last game and Kaitlyns final game. The season is all but over and I am kinda glad and kind sad. Kaitlyn was playing great footy at the end and just needed a few more weeks for that elusive first goal. Nevermind....ther is 6 aside next week and then 9 aside and then summer soccer to come. I have even thought about dusting off my boots and playing for the ladies team next year. Yes I know. scary. But after loosing all this weight and wanting to get fit again it is time for the family to taxi me and support me.

Nikita has been invited to spend a day at a loal school with a NZ author to soak up the inspiration. She has also been assesed for reading and is reading and spelling at Kaitlyns level....15+years! Wow....maybe she is the genius we hoped for....LOL

Joel is well. Teething again. Yes. He has 12 teeth....all four molars....yup...early....grrrr. But now he is getting canines. Those lovely ouchy pointy ones beside the eye teeth, and I have to say they are messing with him. He is grissly at night waking 2-8 times, and well....I won't share all the details. Enough to say that the nappies and the cream are getting a workout!

Busy week ahead. Wednesday Joel and I are visiting a creche (sp?) He will be spending 1.5 days there each week from next week as I share more scrapping with the region. Thursday is Nikitas last practice before her first ever dance exam on Tues. Friday night I have something but have forgotten...must consult the diary! Otherwise we are all good. The days are getting longer and warmer and I saw a monarch byutterfly yesterday which as a kid was always the first sign of summer......maybe a bit early due to the whole warming thing...lol....but hey I will hold on to that!

some pics of my girl practising today....love to all.Nikita_practise Nikita_practise_1

"Where did it go?"

I am sure I put 2 weeks somewhere and now I can't seem to find it! Story of my life right. I am just going to jump straight in and start updating. Be warned....there will be loads of cute kiddie pics, so if this bores you then you better run now!

  • Happy 1st birthday to Daniel McClune. Hugs to Trina.
  • Hi to my fabulous family in Perth whom call me all the time despite me not finding enough spare time to return their calls.....I love you guys! and a happy belated birthday to my Tariq....MWAH!
  • A fond farewell to my pal Kylie Tout, who has now left the S & C DT. I love your work and will watch for your work everywhere. Hugs
  • Huge proudest mummy stuff for my big girl Kaitlyn who out of the possible 39 credits for Level 1 NCEA (internal credits) she has 37!!!!!!!! WAHOO! and she very very nearly scored 2 great goals yesterday. She deserved it but it will come.
  • Happy huge snuggly birthday wishes for my little man Joel who was 1 yesterday. I can hardly believe it. Such a cool day but so sad that it had to go so fast! Having his birthday then is so wonderful for me as it takes the darkness of today being the 6th anniversary of Mikaela's passing.

Anyhow....as I said....pics pics and more pics. Img_0095 This is Joel. He is wearing a rather dark ensemble...lol Actually he has taking a liking to picking up your clothes and pulling them on and walking round in them....or should I say running. He don't care where he gets them...he will pull them off the folded pile if he has too, but nothing is sacred....we have even had a few undies on the head trick! This is him in Liam PJ top!

Handbag

This is Joel with Nikita's handbag. Yes he loves it. We have started to wonder whether he has spent too much time with another toy around here called Tinky Winky!..lol. He loves anything that he can pull over his head and carry. When the vacuum is out he tangles himself in the cord...very unsafe but hilarious!

next:

Img_0114a These next few are a day outside which he loved! The ground was a little damp but he had a ball!

This walking thing is so cute. It opens up a whole new perspective for them. Img_0168a

Img_0184a This little stone was so interesting....so interesting in fact that about 2 seconds after this shot was taken....it went into the mouth for the taste test!

Img_0225a Big bro pushing Joel on the swing....they are so amazing those 2!

Cake_joined The only real tradition we have is that on your 1st birthday you are let loose with your first piece of cake. Traditionally chocolate. This went down a treat yesterday after such a busy day with footy in the morning and then off to the pools for the afternoon, and a swim that had all of us tuckered out....he really did earn this. I won't show you the floor or the top of the highchair....*gulp* anxiety city!

Pressies Ahhhh.....the fun of the presents. He was right into it! Actually what the pics don't show is that once he started to grab and rip the paper he would freak a little and then grab some more and kinda freak a little....as if the ripping sounds were scaring him.....so cute. Check out the pic of him with his new Tonka tractor....he was fully yawning! Poor baby.

He had a blast!

and we have to end on a personal favourite....

Untitledgrayscale03 Joel really was done for in this pic....can you see the half shut eye...lol....PUT ME TO BED MUM!

anyhow...thanks for sticking with me through my little pictorial journey. Hugs to all.
