Too good to be true.

Yup...guess it was too good that yesterday we had to return to the Dr after a mummies hunch that he was struggling. Sure enough....both ears gooooone! Bad too. Wow he is one tolerant little man. So more antibugs. Sleeping better tongiht....last night was rough, but praying for a rebook for this op, so we can put this part of his first year behind us and him.

Spending lots of time on the Scrapbook Store blog getting it running, and in the store. It is really nice to have a physical store to visit & such great ladies to do it with. I love it. Anyhow. It is late & I have been playing with my new toy!

Expressions This machine is just so cool & the kids love it too! I would love to know what you think if you have one. This one for now is safely tucked away in the scraproom & no-one dare take it from me! I just have to figure out how to get it to make me a coffee!...mmmm....that one might need some work!

Check out this sad face from my little trooper....so sad....see the eyes...awwwwwwImg_0009 . Ok....hi to all. Hope your well.

Yup...here I am

I guess your all wondering these days right? I sure am. Well....Mid Sept is here and it is nuts how fast the time passes. I have been busy recently, well since the last post with store stuff. Finally got The Scrapbook Store Blog off the ground and racing. Still loads of tweaking but it will come. These things are just so time consuming, but they really are very good fun once they are up and running.. Feel free to check it out. This is where I hang out when I can./ I love this place. Lyn is divine. Just the sweetest thing, & I always feel so inspired. The store is a lovely calm place & lets face it.....with 4 kiddies calm is a great thing...lol So go check out my other home. Leave us a comment too! That would be cool. We are so new we need some warm fuzzies!http://thescrapbookstorenz.typepad.com/blog/

I have had a few little fun projects lately getting some bits for the store done. Like the Open/Closed sign and the Opening Hours for the window. Check these out....refer to the funny post about the Heidi Swapp clocks and the protective film.....the you will see why I was so darn silly when it came to that film!

So much fun creating these projects. Many more to create for the store but it is a start.

Spent a long weekend in the yard moving blasted bricks. Not sure why they used so many for the edges of all the gardens but thankfully we have done it. We have lifted and sold them all and now all we need to do is transplant out some roses and a few camellias and then the digger will level it all and we will have a blank canvas to look at. I am actually kinda cool with it. I like to think that we could make it look rather nice. Will wait n see...lol. Dam body is so sore today though!

Kids are all good. Joel has mostly passed this nasty cough that he had off and is on the mend. Getting more teeth. Lower pointy teeth. This will mean he has 15th & 16th tooth before October starts I would say. CRAZY! No wonder is ears have gone out in sympathy!

Huge waves to my family in Oz. Sorry dad....I have been so bad at updating and I know your missing your news. Here are a couple of pics to share....Hope that helps!Img_0032  Kids saved a little baby wax eye from certain pussycat death today and nursed it while he regained his strength. These were some cute pics!

Joel loves these little birds. We seem to be saving them every other day at the mo, but on this occasion he was happier to run round the deck! Img_0050

Ok...so that is me for tonight. Getting late and the eyes are shutting. Hugs to everyone

Joel's Op is off!!!!

and we were devastated. It wasn't the hospital or anything. You see we have waited for the longest time for this op to insert bilateral grommets and hope to put an end to all the infections, and then Friday night my little man sound raspy, the by last night he was coughing like an old dog! He has this almost croupy type cough and the anesthetist said....NO WAY! they won't touch them for general if they have anything respiratory. So as good as that is we are still a little gutted. We got all mentally prepared and we were at last feeling good about the whole thing....now this.

We could be waiting another few weeks or more but it will depend on Joel and fast we can get over this nasty cough. Poor little dude....at least if he knew what was happening tomorrow he would be fine,....

So tomorrow I will be working a bit, washing a bit and cleaning a whole bit..lol....just another day!

Thanks for everyones well wishes.....we are so frustrated.
hugs

ps; I forgot to ad that Nikita got the call from her dance teacher the other day with her results. She was awarded an excellance in all her categories of dance except one...pretty excited about that!

{ain't it pitiful!}

How bad my blogging is at the moment. I guess in case your wondering it is a direct reflection of the state of life. As the second half of 2007 starts to heat up with Kaitlyn starting mock exams before NCEA and the other kids with movie nights and school trips and canceled snow trips etc etc, and add the new work schedule for me.....life is crazy but great.

The one thing dominating my thoughts at the moment is Joel. We finally got that date we were so needing for his Bilateral grommets. It is Monday!!!! Yup....the 10th. And it was a great relief to have it but not allot of time to get everything sorted. There has been audio tests and Pre-op checks and all the reading material. We have been through this before but it doesn't stop the doubts creeping in. I mean my biggest is that he has been so well for the last few weeks and what if he has got passed...but then after a stern slap.....I realise that with this out of the way we narrow the chances of this being a problem again....significantly!  The good news was that his audio test was great! He hasn't had his hearing compromised by the infections and the fluid is at this point very very minimal. YAY!

So Monday we will be at the hospital (40 minutes away) at 7.20am with a nil by mouth boy (who loves food)......SEND ME STRENGTH!!!!...lol...he will be chewing my arm off before I get in the door!

Other news. Grannies creche was great and Joel is having a fab time there on Wednesday mornings and all day Friday. Gives me a chance to get some much needed work done and Fri I am at the store all day....yay! At the moment I am scrapping the opening hours for the window. I have thought about it for a while and I am so excited....learnt something new today though....read on if you need a laugh!......

You know those large round Heidi Clock overlays? Well I am using one as a base to the shops opening hours sign. I had got all the flowers glazed and all the alphabets on etc....brads in etc....you know me...loads of stuff in there.....
when it all came crashing down around my ears.
*being the anal retentive I am don't help*
THOSE DARN THINGS HAVE A PROTECTIVE LAYER OF PLASTIC OVER THEM.....I HAD BEEN GLUE BRADING AND ATTACHING EVERYTHING TO THE PROTECTIVE FILM! That is how good the protective film is.....
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Then came the deconstructive 2 hour marathon to get everything off to remove the dam film/cling and put back together again,.......grrrrr.....what a muppet! So there...even I can make monumental foobars! *glad I made you laugh* I will share the project when it is complete.
OK......hugs to all. Hope life is great no matter where you are!
