Ok so to start the post (long overdue) a huge big
YIPPEE - YI - OOOOOOOO
Most of you will know that early last year I gave up some of my commitments to focus on Joel (who was struggling with his ear troubles) and to get Kaitlyn through 07 and with a great mark for NCEA! well.......
SHE DID IT!!!! I DID IT !!!! WE ARE ALL WRAPPED!
Kaitlyn got her results and needed 80 credits to pass.....she got 99! I am thrilled to bits. Like a huge weight is lifted. She has done so well this last year and deserved that result. She is not the most academic so this result is huge! LOVE YOU BABE......WELL DONE.
Joel of course has been great since late November and we are still loving that. He is talking heaps and loving his new found communication abilities....he yells for Nikita "TTTTTTEEEEEETTTTTTAAAAA!" so cute. Calls Liam 'Meam' and just loves 'Katie' (Kaitlyn).
and thennnnnn........there was more!
We have been wanting a puppy for the longest time. I have searched and researched and read and emailed so many people but in August last year I found Janine King from Nidra Cavaliers in Invercargill.......well.....yes the rest as they say.....is history. She has been able to home the most adorable little boy Tri coloured Cavalier with us and has made the kids very very happy. Your the best Janine.....thanks a million from the bottom of ours hearts.
Introducing 'Riley' of the Willis Clan!
I haven't been on my camera today so the next pics are bad pics....lol...he is so settled though. Has been playing with the kids like he has always been here. Rolling over and having his tummy scratched and just loving all the attention. Joel was great too. Just wanted to lay down on the soft bed we made for him the other week, and snooze with him. He found a little stuffed toy rabbit and decided that it was his and he was OFF LIKE A SHOT! You can see the mischievousness in him.
He ate, drank and pooped and wee'd like a champ, and was so tidy about it. Nothing like a choco drop treaty to reward him. He is simply adorable. If it is possible to love a little puppy so much from the moment you see him....then we are all guilty of that. He has meshed so well.
He has a top of the line baby porta cot for a bed, which is kinda funny. We decided that this was a great place for him to sleep uninterrupted when needed and a nice place to be at night while we train him. Also good when he needs some space from the trauma of a toddler...lol
anyhow....I could go on and on, but I need to stop so I can load the pics!
and yes....it was a surprise.....the kids had no idea he was coming. All they knew was that I was still searching for a puppy (wink wink)
and this last one.....of Riley on my lap as I type this very message......
so cute!
On a serious and not so adorable furry note. Congrats to all the kids back at school today. Mine are back and excited to be there. Hugs to all the new entrants starting....so scary, and a nice long slow coffee for all the mums who survived the holidays.
Bring on routine I say! (even though I hated them going this morning.....especially when I realised how much my son didn't want the teacher he got.....his eyes welled....argh)
Ok....enough. Look again and take in the cuteness that is Riley (a name I wanted for a baby boy but wasn't allowed.....now I got my Riley and he has four legs....lol)
